The First 5 Results from 1967/68 season
Sheff Wed 2-3
Burnley 4-2
Tottenham 1-5
Burnley 3-3
Man utd 1-3
With 3 world cup winners and new signings Ferguson,Bonds,Cushley it was not a very good start. It wasn't until christmas/new year that results got better to finish 12th.
The point is that we have had dreadful starts before, although now the stakes are higher financially. I don't think there were any chants for "Greenwood out" back then.

Worth pointing out that there were 22 sides in the top flight back then with just 2 teams relegated

More room for error

It is never great having a bad start, but it is not like we are not used to them.

We are West ham .....................
